ABOUT
THE HUCKIN' FILLBILLYS
The Huckin’ Fillbillys,
formed in the spring of 2005, are a rock-n-roll band from Northeast
Ohio that stemmed from the popular, early 90's hard-rock band,
Lazarus. The guys from Lazarus wanted to do a side project
that was light-hearted and fun. The wheels were set into motion
to put together a “red-necked themed” band of 5
good-ole-boys, uneducated, very patriotic, and musically raw
and powerful. The Huckin’ Fillbillys started out as a
cover band, covering standards such as Aerosmith, Ted Nugent,
AC/DC, and Foreigner but as fate would have it, the writing
itch came to ‘em and the boys started writing material
for their debut album, “Hicks, Chicks, and Lunatics” of
which a couple of songs (Love At First Bite & Mama Didn’t
Raise No Fool) may be previewed on www.myspace.com/huckinfillbillys.

The Huckin’ Fillbillys are
comprised of 5 members: Elvis McCoy (Jimmi Miglozzi) on lead
vocals, Cletus Moon (Ronnie Williams) on guitars and backing
vocals, Edsel McGillis (Garry Palcisco) on bass and backing vocals,
Tater Jenkins (Dustin Isaac) on drums, and Jerry Lee Hatfield
(Walt Stec) on keyboards. The band’s members are veterans
of the Northeast Ohio music scene. As previously stated, Ronnie,
Jimmi, and Garry all come from the mega-popular hard rock band, Lazarus.
Walt played bass for a Godsmack/Alice In Chains tribute band, Smack
Alice and Dustin Isaac was the former drummer for the Akron,
Ohio based Guns-N-Roses tribute band, Appetite for Destruction.
The Huckin’ Fillbillys’ magic lies in their live
performances. The band pulls out all the stops when it comes
to playing! The drum riser resembles the bed of a Ford F-150
pickup truck and the band members all look like they come from
a scene from the 1970’s film, Deliverance!!!
Many of The Huckin’ Fillbillys’ influences shine
through their music. The bands that influenced The Huckin’ Fillbillys
the most are Aerosmith, Motley Crue, AC/DC, and anything that
has power and groove!
The equipment The Huckin’ Fillbillys uses is B-52 VT-100
guitar heads & SVR/Ampeg Amplification. Warwick bass guitars
(Garry Palcisco is sponsored by them), Epiphone and Gibson Les
Paul guitars, KORG and MOOG synthesizers, and TAMA drums. Jimmi
Migliozzi uses Audio-Techniques wireless microphone technology.
The Huckin’ Fillbillys genuinely enjoy playing great
music and watching people who come to see them, have the time
of their lives at their shows! When people come to a Huckin’ Fillbillys
show, they become part of the band! It’s the crowd's party…The
Fillbillys are just the gracious hosts!
